Independence Day

Hope everyone had a good 4th of July. Here are some of my favorite highlights of my family fireworks night. To view all my photos go to: http://nycindividual.fotki.com/2007-pictures/fireworks-4th-of-ju/

Psalm 119:45I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.

Isaiah 61:1-3 1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Luke 4:18"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,

Romans 8:21that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

This is so beautiful. Thank you so much for your efforts in taking and publishing these photographs, and for your inspirations in the Lord.

Those turned out great! Interesting (to me) notes:
(1) The sky bursts have an interesting waviness that results from hand-holding the camera. If you had used a tripod, you wouldn't have been able to aim the camera quickly enough; and besides, the waviness IS interesting!
(2) The photos prove that a lot of the sparks would have been wasted if they'd been allowed to hit the ground. Placing the fireworks on a ladder worked.
